Many kinds of chestnuts such as "Otomune" or "Ginyose" are cultivated in the middle and northern part of the city.
Every year, they are forwarded to the Hanshin area. The shipment has continued from the latter part of September to the former part of October. It tells the visit of early autumn.
The chestnut fair is held on every October.
