Manganji Temple

Manganji Temple
Manganji Temple has a long history that is shown by its stone monuments dating back to the Middle Ages and the statues of Buddha which were built in Heian period. It is also said that the Genji clan used this temple for worship. Manganji also boasts the tomb of Sakata Kintoki and the statue of the many-armed Senjukannon, or Goddess of Mercy, designated as a cultural asset of Hyogo Prefecture. Manganji's beautiful Japanese garden is delightful in spring, lavished with many azalea bushes.
